TZOHAR is the new Teen Education program of Ohr Kodesh Congregation. Starting Fall 2020, we are excited to be bringing high-level Jewish educational experiences to teens across Montgomery County and Washington, DC.

The word "Tzohar" means "Window," with a particular reference to the window at the top of Noah's ark from which he sent the raven and then the dove.  We hope the education each child receives at Tzohar will be their window to the world.

Tzohar is proud to be in partnership with Hadar DCand is excited to be implementing the Moot Beit Din Program as part of our offerings. We are also thrilled to be joining with acclaimed community afterschool MoEd to offer intensive Hebrew language programming.

WITH REGARD TO THE COVID-19 ISOLATION PERIOD:

We are planning with the hopes that by our launch in Fall 2020 we will be able to hold classes in person. In part, our vision for 21st-century learning for our students included online materials as well as in-person classes, and we are prepared to launch this fall whether classes are held in person at Ohr Kodesh or online by Zoom.

Our current tuition schedule is based upon the assumption that we are meeting in person and providing dinner. If we have to convert to a fully-online program, we will reduce tuition commensurate with our reduction in cost.
